Andrew J. Falatok was born in Akron, Ohio, but grew up in Spartanburg since 1962. He graduated from Dorman High School and received a BS Degree in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University in 1976. Mr. Falatok began his career with Babcock & Wilcox in Augusta, Georgia with various positions in Engineering and Marketing. In 1983, he joined his father-in-law at McKinney Brothers and garnered experience in selling pre-owned textile machinery. In 1988, he formed Tex-Mach, Inc. and remains active today as President and CEO. Tex-Mach, Inc. is a leading global pre-owned textile machinery dealer having approximately twenty-five (25) employees.
Throughout his career, Mr. Falatok has remained active in the Spartanburg Community having been involved with Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, Charles Lea Center, Charles Lea Center Foundation, American Red Cross, St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic, SRHS Foundation – Cancer Board, Chesnee Senior Center Board and BB&T Advisory Board.
Mr. Falatok is married to Lynne Falatok and they have two (2) sons, Chris Falatok and David Falatok. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church.
