Jessica Jones Bunn serves as the Communications Officer of The Spartanburg County Foundation. She is responsible for developing strategies to lead the marketing and communications activities of the Foundation.
Ms. Bunn is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She moved to Spartanburg in 2007 after graduating from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in public relations. Ms. Bunn was hired as Resource Development and eMarketing Coordinator with United Way of the Piedmont, where she implemented workplace fundraising strategies for the Annual Campaign, produced and edited website content, engaged volunteers and donors through the use of social media and an electronic marketing campaign, produced monthly newsletters, and assisted in the development of collateral materials. In 2010, she transitioned to Partners for Active Living where she served as Urban Trails Coordinator and played an instrumental role in securing grant funding, established the Friends of the Mary Black Foundation Rail Trail Group, managed volunteers and coordinated several community events. Prior to joining The Spartanburg County Foundation, Ms. Bunn worked for Infrastructure Engineers, Inc. as Executive Assistant, where she oversaw professional and corporate licensing and compliance, planned corporate events and provided administrative assistance to executive and management team members.
Ms. Bunn is active in the Spartanburg community, having served as Board Chair and on multiple committees for Spartanburg Young Professionals. She is a member of Arts X Society, and is a charter member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Upstate SC Alumnae Chapter.
