 Nonprofit Connect

The Spartanburg County Foundation offers knowledge sharing sessions to all nonprofit organizations that serve Spartanburg County.

All sessions are held from noon-1:00 p.m. at The Spartanburg County Foundation, 424 E. Kennedy Street, Spartanburg.  The sessions are free to all nonprofit organizations serving Spartanburg County, and lunch is provided!

Foundation Center Cooperating Collection Network at the Spartanburg County Public Libraries

Spartanburg County Public Libraries is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center.

As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit resource centers, Spartanburg County Public Libraries provides visitors with free public access to a core collection of grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management. The core collection of reference books for grant seekers is located in the Reference Area on the upper level of the Headquarters Library.


Grassroots Leadership Development Institute

The Grassroots Leadership Development Institute is an intense seven-month leadership training program designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skill-set and resources to be effective in leading change at the grassroots level.  Participants include emerging nonprofit and mainstream leaders actively working to strengthen their individual and organizational effectiveness, and who seek to become more effective leaders.

 Planned Giving

The Spartanburg County Foundation has provided leadership you can trust for over 72 years.  As a convener, grantmaker, and knowledge source, the Foundation offers nonprofit organizations with the opportunity to establish agency endowment funds to grow their organization for the future.  An agency endowment fund provides resources year after year to assist your organization in meeting the many needs in our community.   In addition, donors may contribute a variety of assets, including bequests by will.  The Foundation can assist you and your donors with planned giving opportunities to sustain the mission of your nonprofit through specially crafted brochures to help advertise your fund to educational speaking engagements for donors and supporters.  Opening an agency endowment fund with the Foundation not only creates opportunities for your organization currently, it provides the means for your organization to grow for the future.
