On August 21, The Spartanburg County Foundation hosted its seventh “Nonprofit Connect” session of 2013. Jennifer Evins, President and CEO of the Chapman Cultural Center, spoke to the group of twenty-six nonprofit leaders and board members on fundraising and “How to Make the Big Ask.” Evins, who has led several successful fundraising campaigns, gave tips on how to effectively use staff and volunteers to develop financial resources for nonprofit organizations.

Nonprofit Connect is a series of monthly lunch and learn sessions offered to give nonprofit executives and board members and opportunity to network and discuss local and national trends, share organization updates, and receive information that will further assist them in fulfilling their mission. These sessions are offered free of charge and are open to all nonprofit organizations serving Spartanburg County.
