The Spartanburg County Foundation Trustee Nancy Bain Coté



Since graduating from Converse College with a bachelor’s degree in 1979 and a master’s degree in 1981, Nancy Bain Coté has served the Converse College community as the assistant director of Alumni Affairs and as an admissions counselor. Mrs. Coté is an AFAA-certified aerobics instructor who served the Spartanburg Athletic Club and Spartanburg YMCA.

Mrs. Coté is a member of First Presbyterian Church and is active in the Spartanburg community as a member of the Charles Lea Center Foundation board, the Junior League of Spartanburg, and the Mobile Meals board. She has also served on the Converse College Board of Trustees, the Converse College Alumnae Board, as President of the Junior League of Spartanburg, the Spartanburg Day School board of directors, as well as the Spartanburg Day School Parents’ Club and Student Life Committee. Coté currently serves on the Sanctuary Guild at First Presbyterian Church, where she has also served as a Spiritual Life Class teacher, junior high Sunday school teacher, and a children’s church teacher. She also served on the Session Nominating Committee and as a small group leader for multiple small group studies.

Mrs. Coté and her husband, Paul, reside in Spartanburg. They have two children, Anna Coté Hall and Abigail Coté.
