Karen Nichols leads the Philanthropic Services team, providing a distinctive experience for the Foundation’s donors and fundholders. She oversees the Foundation’s development efforts and works closely with donors and fundholders to help them achieve their charitable and philanthropic goals. In addition, Karen provides management oversight for the Foundation’s marketing and communications activities. She uses her marketing and communications lens to help identify potential supporters, nurture donors, and fundholders and provide opportunities for all to be involved in the Foundation’s work.
Karen enjoys traveling, baking, yoga, and is an enthusiastic football fan. She is involved in volunteer service at her church and with a local women’s group that participates in community service projects. Karen’s roots are in Jacksonville, Florida, but she has been calling South Carolina home for close to 30 years.
