As a service to its fundholders and Trustees, and an effort to build action into its commitment to environmental stewardship, the Spartanburg County Foundation offers SHRED DAY 2022 from 10AM – 2PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022.  This event provides a drive-up service where documents provided will be shredded on-site.  This secures your personal information.  As you drive in for the collection, staff will welcome you, confirm and update any contact information for you, and guide you to the shredding station.  A few participants will be selected at random to participate in “Ambush Philanthropy” a fun way for our fundholders to participate in grantmaking.  If selected, you have the opportunity to choose a nonprofit recipient to receive a Foundation grant. • Fundholders and Trustees are asked to enter the Center for Philanthropy’s parking lot, entering from the Advent Street side of Kennedy Street heading toward Pine Street.
• Limit of 3 legal-size banker boxes of paper or 2, 40-gallon trash bags of paper
• Acceptable items: papers, folders, file folders, paperclips, staples
• Not accepted: binder rings, hanging file folders, pens, batteries, cell phones, laptops, floppy discs, CD’s, all other biodegradable or explosive materials.
