The Spartanburg County Foundation would like to encourage our donors to review the dates and timelines for both grantmaking and contributions to ensure dollars are received timely.
Please keep in mind that all gifts are tax-deductible and will be receipted.
All grants received will assist in helping our community as we move into a new year.
The holidays are fast approaching! Below are some important dates and times to keep in mind when making end-of-year grant distribution requests or sending end-of-year contributions.
Fundholders:
To ensure your grant recommendations are processed in 2020, grant distribution requests MUST be received on or before 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2020. This allows staff to process and mail checks by Thursday, December 31st.
Any request received on December 30th or 31st will be processed the week of January 4th, 2021.
Donors:
To ensure your contributions are tax-deductible in 2020,
- Checks mailed to the Foundation MUST be postmarked by Thursday, December 31, 2020, to be receipted as a 2020 contribution.
- Checks hand-delivered to the Foundation office MUST be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020, to be receipted as a 2020 contribution.
- Credit Card contributions made online MUST be entered before midnight on Thursday, December 31, 2020 to be credited for 2020.
- Gifts of Stock must be transferred to the Foundation’s Fidelity Account on or before Thursday, December 31, 2020 to be credited for 2020.
