TIM BAYMILLER

Director of People and Compliance

Tim Baymiller serves as the Director of People and Compliance for the Spartanburg County Foundation. He joined the Foundation team in January 2024, bringing with him over 25 years of experience as a human resource professional, primarily in the hospitality industry.

Tim’s many years spent in the service industry have prepared him well for his roles in Human Resources. Tim sincerely embodies the term “servant leader” in his approach to supporting the staff of our organization.

Prior to joining us, Tim led the HR effort at Westin Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina, and held HR leadership roles with Xanterra Parks and Resorts in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, as well as in the state park system of Ohio. During his career, Tim has earned both PHR and SHRM-SCP professional certifications and is currently a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Greenville Society for Human Resources Management.

Tim and his wife Katie have called Spartanburg “home” since 2004 and now have deep roots in our community. Katie has been a teacher in the Spartanburg District 7 school system for 20 years and all three of their sons, Henry, Aaron, and Emmett, have grown up through the District 7 system as well. In their spare time, Tim and Katie both enjoy traveling, playing golf, hiking, and generally being outdoors whenever possible!
