Simone Laurent

Center for Philanthropy Administrative and Facilities Manager

Simone provides five-star customer service, meeting facilitation, and logistics to the Robert Hett Chapman III Center for Philanthropy. She also coordinates internal and external access to the Center’s various meeting spaces. She manages the technology suite, logistics, and interactive displays housed within the Center’s Gallery of Philanthropy.

Prior to joining the Foundation this year, Simone worked with Project R.E.S.T., formerly SAFE Homes Rape Crisis Coalition, as their Administrative Assistant, and most recently their Philanthropy Specialist. Simone is a Spartanburg native where she graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina- Upstate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in African American Studies in 2021. Simone is an active member of Gamma Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, where she participates in various service projects. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as her dog, Apollo.

Simone Laurent joined the team in 2023, bringing knowledge of nonprofit organizations, their operations, and their needs. She is often the first person to greet visitors to the Center for Philanthropy on the Spartanburg County Foundation campus. Simone coordinates internal and external access to the Center’s various meeting spaces. She serves as property management liaison and is the primary point of contact for the Center’s tenants. Simone manages the Center’s technology suite, logistics, and interactive displays in the Gallery of Philanthropy. Simone curates and creates exhibits and exhibit receptions in the Gallery and provides essential support for the Foundation’s Operations Team. Simone is an active member of the Gamma Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, where she participates in various service projects. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Apollo.
