Gifts may be made online through our new donation portal. Choose where to give based upon your interests, or by finding the name of the fund you wish to support by using our Fund Catalog.
Gifts may always be delivered in person or mailed to our administrative office:

If delivering or mailing a gift, please be sure to include the name of the fund you wish to receive the gift as well as your name and current email/mailing address to receive your tax credit letter.
Gifts may also be made by credit card through our secure processing system, GoDonate. You may search our Fund Catalog, or search by area of interest to find the fund you wish to support with your gift.
Your gift makes a difference!
Gifts may also be mailed or hand-delivered to the Spartanburg County Foundation administrative office located at 424 E. Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. Checks should be made payable to Spartanburg County Foundation. You may include a note, or place in the memo line, any reference to a particular fund to which you would like your donation directed. Any gifts received that do not have a fund specific direction support the Community Impact Fund.
Will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?
Absolutely!
- Donors who make a gift online, or who provide their email address when mailing or hand-delivering a gift will receive an email as soon as the gift posts.
- For donors without an email on file with the Foundation, tax receipt letters are mailed quarterly.
What if I want to mail in or hand-deliver a donation?
You may mail or drop off your gift at our administrative office, located at 424 East Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
Checks should be made payable to: Spartanburg County Foundation
You will receive a tax receipt more quickly if you provide an email when you mail or deliver your donation.
What if I want to donate in honor or memory of someone?
ONLINE GIVING – This option is built in to our online gift processing. If you wish for the person being honored to be notified, you will need to provide that person/family’s contact information so that we may inform them of your generous gift.
MAILED/HAND-DELIVERED GIFTS: Please make sure to provide any information regarding gifts given in honor or memory of an individual when making your gift and include that person/family’s contact information (email and/or mailing address) so that we may inform them of your generous gift.
Should I give online or by sending in a check?
Giving online through our donations portal has several distinct advantages.

- Your gift is processed efficiently and safely through our donations portal.
- You receive a tax receipt quickly when making your gift online.
- When making an online gift, you can make it to a fund’s general resources ore designate a specific use for your gift.
- You have the option to register with our donations portal which increases the speed at which future donations can be made.
- We have built in multiple levels of security for your online gift.
Is there a minimum gift amount?
- ONLINE – Gifts processed online must be $25 or more.
- DELIVERED – Gifts in any amount may be hand-delivered to our office: 424 E. Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
- MAILED – Checks in any amount may be mailed to the Foundation. Please make sure to include the name of the fund to receive your gift.
- If a gift is received by the Foundation does not include the name of the fund to which the donation is being made, the gift will be credited to the Foundation’s Community Impact Fund and receipted accordingly.
