Understanding Funding

Understanding how to secure funding is a key component in taking a project to scale. Class participants will learn where to look for funding, what challenges exist among grantseekers in the current funding climate, the importance of ensuring your program is not a duplication of other services already being offered, and how to write a grant in a way that increases your chances of getting funded. This mini grantwriting workshop will provide an opportunity for the class to learn the specific components of writing a grant, what funders are looking for when considering proposals to be funded, and how to position your grant for success.
