Disaster Relief Fund

Request for Proposals 

The Spartanburg County Foundation Disaster Relief Fund will offer grants to nonprofit organizations that are providing relief, recovery, and rebuilding assistance to Spartanburg County residents affected by natural and or manmade disasters. Applications to The Spartanburg County Foundation Disaster Relief Fund are not currently being accepted. Please note that individuals are not eligible to apply.

Grant Guidelines

The Spartanburg County Foundation considers only those organizations and institutions that are recognized as 501(c)(3) non-profit and/or tax-exempt entities or charitable organizations.

The Spartanburg County Foundation Disaster Relief Fund will not provide funding for:
• Projects not associated with relief, recovery or rebuilding efforts for the impacted regions of Spartanburg County
• Routine operating expenses of the organization
• Fundraising projects
• Endowment development or capital campaigns
• Sponsorships

Purchase a Brick Paver to support the Disaster Relief Fund.

You Can Help Support Disaster Relief With the purchase of a $100 personalized, commemorative brick, you will help support The Spartanburg County Disaster Relief Fund and leave a lasting mark on The Robert Hett Chapman III Center for Philanthropy. The 4”×8” customizable, engraved brick pavers will be incorporated into the entrance to the Center. The bricks are $100 each and can include up to three lines of text with 15 characters per line (including spaces). There are two ways to order a brick paver. You can order and pay for your brick paver by filling out our online form. Another option is to download the brick order form and return it by mail along with your payment to the Foundation. Please make checks payable to the Spartanburg County Foundation.
