Catalytic Network Learning Session
Catalytic Learning Session I - Showing up as a place-based partner.
A place-based partner is a network of people or organizations in the same geographic area who work together to change systems, improve community outcomes, and achieve shared goals. This could include schools, residents, government, faith-based institutions, or other nonprofits. Participants will be introduced to the concept of Place-Based work. The facilitator will: 1) spotlight the national efforts in place-based partnerships; 2) discuss success planning; and 3) consider the context of place-based work and partnerships in Spartanburg to include a panel discussion from local place-based partners.
About the Presenter: Jasmine Stewart
Jasmine Stewart serves as the Spartanburg Academic Movement’s Place-Based Partnerships Manager in the Center for Resilient Schools and Communities. Jasmine was born and raised in Columbia, SC. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education-English from USC Upstate and her M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Columbia College.
Jasmine is also the Vice President of Sugar Ridge Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.
Jasmine is married to Devin Stewart who works with LISC Upstate. Devin and Jasmine have been married for nine years and have two children, Devin Jr. and Alivia.
