Disaster Relief Grants

The Spartanburg County Foundation Disaster Relief Fund provides grants of up to $10,000 for nonprofit organizations recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. These organizations must providing relief, recovery, and rebuilding assistance to Spartanburg County residents affected by natural or manmade disasters to qualify for this grant.
Disaster Relief Fund Grantees:

Within six months of receiving a Disaster Relief Fund grant, the grantee will provide a final report that includes:

  • Summary of service(s) provided.
  • Total expenses for providing those services.
  • Details of the population(s) served (including geographic location and # of individuals served).
  • Requested but not required: photos of the service(s) being provided, if appropriate. We realize that some services provided and some individuals served may be sensitive. Please only plan to submit 1-2 photos that the Foundation may share publicly.
The Spartanburg County Foundation Disaster Relief Fund does not provide funding for:
  • Projects not associated with relief, recovery, or rebuilding efforts for the impacted regions of Spartanburg County.
  • Fundraising projects.
  • Endowment development or capital campaigns.
  • Scholarships.
