You may give stock and receive a tax deduction for its full market value, thus reducing capital gains tax on appreciated stock. This is often the most effective way to make a philanthropic gift. CLICK HERE to download a sample letter which can be used to facilitate your stock gift.

Foundation Support Fees are allocated to each fund on a quarterly basis according to the Fee Schedule and the fund agreement. This fee is applied quarterly in arrears and deducted from your fund’s balance, based on the average daily balance over the previous 90 days. The Fund Type Fees & Minimums is provided when when each fund is opened and shows the fee percentage that applies to the particular fund type opened.

FundWeb is your 24-hour access to your fund balance.

If you do not have access to FundWeb, please contact our Contributions Manager, Heather Ailstock for your FundWeb login information.

To check your fund balance you may also contact our Director of Philanthropic Services, Karen Nichols by phone or email.

Once your fund has been added to our database and you are connected as a fund contact, you will receive an automated email that will provide instructions on creating a new password to access FundWeb. This web portal enables you to view your fund balances, gift and grant activity, investment activity and generate fund statements

If you have lost your Fundweb Login information, contact Heather Ailstock, our Contributions Manager.

You may request a grant using the “Recommend a Grant” button at the top of your fund page in FundWeb.

Or, you may use a Grants Recommendation form. You may also email your request to Finance Associate  Christy Fernandez.  Be sure to include your fund name, organization name, contact & address, and grant amount.

DEADLINE: Grant requests are received from Wednesday of one week through 5 pm on the following Tuesday to have a check issued on that Friday.

You may also submit a GRANT RECOMMENDATION FORM by mail or email to Finance Associate Christy Fernandez.

You may use a Component Fund Grant Expense Request Form to request a grant expense to be paid. Email this form to Finance Associate Christy Fernandez at cfernandez@spcf.org.

This form and process does not apply to agency, donor advised, or scholarship funds.

Fundholders may choose to hold fundraising events or a solicitation. “Solicitation” refers to any time individuals are asked verbally, in writing, or by electronic means to contribute to a fund. The term “fundraising events” includes, but is not limited to, receptions, dinners, parties, sports or entertainment events, auctions, and other similar activities. • your fundraising efforts comply with the IRS guidelines and other governmental regulations.
• donors receive appropriate acknowledgement.
• the brand, identity and reputation of the Spartanburg County Foundation is protected, including its logo.
