Community Corner

No, but you may wish to call in advance to make sure it is available, or make a reservation if you want to secure its use in advance.

Because the area is adjacent to our Gallery of Philanthropy where the Foundation hosts educational events, the Community Corner is not accessible during those events.

This space features the John and Laura Gramling Coffee Corner and comfortable seating to encourage meaningful conversation.

The full-size sofa, four armchairs, ottomans, coffee and side tables encourage guests to feel right at home to carry on their post-meeting conversations, informal planning meetings, or small group discussions.

You may, but visitors are expected to dispose of their trash appropriately.  We ask that groups planning formal lunch meetings reserve other meeting spaces which are more appropriate for such uses.

Not necessarily.  The Community Corner is open to our Gallery of Philanthropy.  Foundation staff , employees of our partners-in-residence, as well as people visiting exhibits in the gallery, using the Nonprofit Resource Center, Flex Convening Space, Innovation Lab, or Catering Kitchen move through the gallery on a regular basis.  They would all be able to see who is meeting in the Community Corner.

The Center for Philanthropy provides private meeting and conference rooms for confidential meetings related to advancing the work of nonprofit organizations serving Spartanburg County residents.
