Ashley Whitt leads the strategy and direction of the Foundation’s Grantmaking Framework, Community Leadership initiatives, and community impact, serving as the Foundation’s Vice President of Grants and Community Impact. She began her tenure as an intern with the Spartanburg County Foundation in 2009. Ashley has held five different roles for the Foundation, developing a deep understanding of Spartanburg County’s network of nonprofit organizations and the county-wide systems they work through to improve the lives of Spartanburg County residents. Ashley works with the Foundation’s Trustees to develop the Foundation’s grantmaking strategy, partnerships, and opportunities to achieve greater philanthropic impact. She leads the Community Leadership team to provide a wide array of support for the nonprofit community, is a 2023 Philanthropy Southeast Hull Fellow and a 2012 Alumna of the Foundation’s Grassroots Leadership Development Institute.
Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and participating in her church choir.
