
The Spartanburg County Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Renee Klein to the Board of Trustees. Ms. Klein begins her service with the Foundation in January and will serve through 2032.
“We are thrilled to welcome Renee Klein to our Board of Trustees. She brings exceptional expertise in financial strategy and a strong commitment to community engagement. Renee serves as Office Managing Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC) and was honored earlier this year with the Morgan Award for Community Leadership by United Way of the Piedmont. Since 2023, she has also contributed her knowledge as a member of the Spartanburg County Foundation’s Investment Advisory Committee. We look forward to the insight and energy she will bring as we continue our mission to improve the lives of all Spartanburg County residents,” says Ricky Richardson, 2025 Chair of the Spartanburg County Foundation Board of Trustees.
Ms. Klein is a Tax Partner in PwC’s Private practice with over 20 years of experience. She leads the Personal Financial Services practice in the Carolinas and focuses on income tax and estate tax planning for high-net-worth individuals with complex tax footprints. Her work includes income tax forecasting, transaction modelling, and keeping abreast of legislative updates and the impact law changes have to her client base. She also serves closely held businesses and supports family offices.
Originally from the Augusta, Georgia area, Renee received her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and her Masters in Accounting from Clemson University. She currently resides in Spartanburg, South Carolina with her family.
In her free time, Renee enjoys running, reading, entertaining, and spending time with her husband Brandon, seven year old son Connor, and their two Labrador retrievers Maverick and Goose.
